Winter Sports Cover
Travelbility offers winter sports cover as an optional extra to our single or annual multi-trip policies designed especially for people who are disabled or medically impaired travelling in Europe, the US or worldwide.
Travelbility is backed by AXA Insurance, one of the UK’s leading travel insurers and if required, our confidential medical screening service enables us to offer cover in the vast majority of cases.
Benefits of cover include up to:
- £600 replacement cover for the loss, theft of or damage to your own ski equipment
- £200 towards the cost of hiring ski equipment following the loss, theft of or damage to your own
- £300 cover for the unused portion of your ski pack following your bodily injury or illness
- £150 for the unused portion of a lost lift pass
- £30 per day towards transport to another slope when the piste is closed or if no alternative sites are available, compensation of up to £30 per day.
Specially trained staff, experienced and sensitive to your specific needs are always available on Travelbility’s 24 hour helplines and our assistance services provide:
- instant support for medical emergencies including bill guarantees
- replacement and transportation of essential medication and equipment including wheelchairs lost or damaged
- repatriation of you and your Carer if medication or essential equipment is not available while away from home, or if your Carer suffers illness or injury and cannot look after you as a result
A donation to your chosen charity will be made for every policy taken out and we can extend competitive cover to other members of your family and carers accompanying you.
